Joe Cusimano is an active Consultant at Assure911 with decades of operational experience in the telecommunications industry. Joe was a Manager at Ameritech. Joe serves as a Project Mentor for graduate students at the Illinois Institute of Technology Real Time Communications Laboratory (IIT RTCL). There he has done extensive systems integration, load, access, reliability, resiliency and security testing of NG9-1-1 ESInets based on National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and SIP Forum Standards. In his career as a Tier 2 Technical Support Manager, Joe managed technical engineers responsible for the introduction of the AT&T 5ESS switching systems and ISDN. From 1995 thru 2000 he managed new product introduction in Ameritech’s System Integration Lab . He served as the Vendor interface for Lucent Technologies.
As a Consultant, Joe worked nationally for Service Providers deploying 9-1-1 advanced network solutions. Joe has provided analysis for the State of Illinois related to Telecom expenditures. Joe currently is involved in technical project implementation and consulting for independent VoIP Telecom companies .
His recent work for Assure911 has included NG9-1-1 Cutover Strategy and client specific testing of Access Protocols such as SIP, SS7 and ISDN. The Public Safety client used the Test Plan in their Illinois Commerce Commission Pilot Project application.
Education: Joe attended Coyne Electrical Institute for their Electrical and Electronic curriculum; he holds an Electrical License , and has received certifications in the NEC and Samsung IP PBX systems.
Joseph Zubay

Joe has decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. He was a Principal in LinkIndigo, Inc., where he provided design and engineering solutions for client companies. As Director for a Regional Bell Operating Company, his responsibilities included the development of technical planning, and engineering and operations plans for establishing new enterprises. He directed the development of a Business Broadband Services Forecasting Process and Outside Plant Integrated Planning/Transport Planning and Engineering Processes.
Joe was responsible for developing switched network deployment plans and managing the development and implementation plans for providing growth and new leading edge services. His consulting experiences include both domestic and international projects and range from converged network planning in a CLEC environment to technical due diligence for major telecom acquisition opportunities. Joe currently provides consulting services in his areas of expertise with his primary focus on modeling and business case development and the planning and engineering of new network technologies and the processes that support them. Joe serves as a project mentor for graduate students at IIT’s RTC Laboratory, for reliability and network design of NG9-1-1 ESInets. Education: Cleveland State University, BA in Organizational Psychology: Franklin University, ASEE in Electrical Engineering with postgraduate work at Iowa State University in engineering economics and accounting.
