David Staub
Systems Architect
David is concurrently Managing Partner of Assure911 and President of Network Expert Software Systems, Inc., NESS is a software and services firm focused on telecommunications . David is responsible for solution designs, as well as pre- and post-sales activities. With over 25 years in the industry, David’s technical background includes design and development of Operational Support Systems, OSS, in a telephony environment, including Network Trouble Patterning, SS7 Network Assurance, and Transport Facility Assurance. David holds patent in the area of 9-1-1 Network Assurance. His solutions are optimized on distributed computing architectures using artificial intelligence, including expert and rules-based solutions.
As a Project Mentor at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), David led master degree candidates in the development of standards-based system interfaces, and SIP protocol analysis.
David was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Communications Research, now Ericsson (Telcordia), developing solutions for SEAS, NPMS, INOMS, and NMA Graphics. David developed SS7 Link Monitoring systems and integrated many vendor solutions into a single customer system called INOMS, an integrated network monitoring platform for major carriers.
David was the Manager of Network Management Engineering for ADC Video Systems. David’s team designed and implemented NM interfaces for AM Broadcast and Digital Video fiber optic equipment. This included the first commercially sold TL1 interface for management of CATV and hybrid fiber-coax network equipment. David’s expertise helped launch the joint ADC-Bellcore development of the first OSI CMIP data model for video transport equipment.
Education: David has a Masters Degree in Computer Science at Columbia University, and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at Albany State University.
